advent 2023
This year I am creating my advents with the theme ‘Under Summer Skies’. The colourways are influenced by the feeling of the summer holiday period here in Western Australia and draw on the nostalgia, excitement and vibrance of childhood. Think parties and beach days with lots of bright, vivid colours.
I’m not one to keep things the same so I’m changing things up a little this year by offering different quantities of minis and full skeins from the usual 24 plus 1. To keep with the theme I will be listing the advents in a ‘Pick n Mix’ Style so you can select the combination that best suits you.
The bases I intend to include are;

As usual there will be inclusions throughout the advent with the number varying depending on the size of the advent purchased. ‘Big Day’ and ‘Extra Skein’ packages will also be available for those who would like to add extra inclusions or yarn/fibre to their order.
The general process for ordering will be as follows;

Choose the listing for your chosen base yarn/fibre.

Select from the three mini skein/fibre options;

Select your 100g skein/fibre option;

3 skeins/braids in 3 blending colourways

Add in any extra options such as;

Additional 100g skeins/braids in any of the options above (you will receive the exact same set as in the previous step so if you purchase a 3 set originally and then another set of three you will receive two skeins of each colourway. If you choose to purchase a set of three originally and then a single additional skein you will receive two skeins of one colourway and one of the other two colours)

Any other bonus packs containing extra inclusions or different yarn bases (these will complement the main advent rather than matching any existing colourways)

Due to the new system this year I want to touch on how your yarn/fibre will be packaged. Below are some examples of how I intend to package the yarn but if you would prefer it packaged differently you can leave a note at checkout and I will do my best to accommodate.
Example 1: Customer purchases 3x100g skeins + 9x minis + additional 3x100g skeins.

Yarn packaged into 12 parcels with repeat colourways of the 100g skeins packaged together.
Example 2: Customer purchases 24x minis + 6x100g skeins + bonus items.

Yarn packaged into 30 parcels plus an extra parcel for bonus items making 31 parcels total.
Example 3: Customer purchases no minis + 6x100g skeins + additional 3x100g skeins

Yarn packaged into 6 parcels with three parcels containing two skeins in the same colourway and the other three containing a single skein.

Advents are packaged in non-denominational wrapping making them suitable for any celebration.
The Pre-order for Yarn Advents will open on Monday 8th May at 8am AWST and close at the end of July if not sold out beforehand to allow time to ensure they are packaged with the full care and attention they deserve.
Yarn Advents will be posted at the start of November to ensure they arrive in time for the start of December.
If you wish to have an advent sent outside Australia please be aware that postage can be delayed. I have had a number of advents travel overseas in the last couple of years and most arrived prior to December however, I cannot guarantee that international deliveries will arrive by December 1st.
